About Alix Henley
Alix Henley was born and brought up in the UK and in the Far East. Following a degree in English literature, she taught English for three years in Thailand.

She has worked as a communications and cross-cultural trainer, researcher, patient advocate, technical writer and editor. She has written several books, mainly around the themes of culture, religion, equal opportunities, health care and communication.

At present she is living Switzerland with her husband and three children, where she experiences every day the difficulties and pitfalls of communication across language and cultural barriers.
